AHS is also supported by approximately 9,100 volunteers and more than 11,100 physicians practicing in Alberta, approximately 8,850 of whom are members of the AHS medical staff (including active, temporary and community appointments).
  • Students from Alberta’s universities and colleges, as well as from universities and colleges outside of Alberta, receive clinical education in AHS facilities and community locations.
  • AHS has 106 acute care hospitals, five stand-alone psychiatric facilities, 8,605 acute care beds, 29,124 continuing care beds/spaces and 3,176 addiction and mental health beds/spaces, plus equity partnership in 40 primary care networks.
  • Programs and services are offered at more than 900 facilities throughout the province, including hospitals, clinics, continuing care facilities, cancer centres, mental health facilities and community health sites.

The Biden administration on Tuesday asked for a delay in releasing data on reactions to COVID-19 vaccines, according toΒ Just the News.

In a motion filed with a district court, the Department of Justice and the Department of Health and Human Services reportedly asked for an 18-month stay for a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request by the outlet. The request was reportedly to obtain data from the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS).

FOIA requires government agencies to release requested information unless it negatively effects interests like personal privacy, national security and law enforcement.

Just the News alleges there was a private, β€œback-end” database connected to VAERS, which tries to detect safety problems in U.S.-licensed vaccines. The purported private database has information on vaccine recipients’ deaths, recoveries and formal diagnoses, according to the outlet.
