The growing inability to take collective action on pressing issues such as climate change and the Covid-19 pandemic is a sign that the ideology of liberalism has gone “totally wrong,” cultural philosopher Slavoj Zizek told RT.
“We simply cannot – especially in the so-called developed West – unite even on basic values that would allow the proper functioning of democracy itself,” Zizek told RT’s Afshin Rattansi on his show Going Underground.

Look at the United States today, which is practically in a situation of an ideological civil war. This also explains the resistance to vaccination. This is ideological liberalism going totally wrong.

(CNN)No clear culprit.

No smoking gun.
While Covid-19's origin story is currently defined by a lack of hard evidence and data, scientists around the world continue their search for answers to how the pandemic began. CNN Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta speaks to leading virologists, epidemiologists and coronavirus researchers in "The Origins of Covid-19: Searching for the Source," premiering at 8 p.m. ET Sunday.

Tom Renz accuses hospitals of taking advantage of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic to make more money while ignoring the actual needs and requests of their patients. He says hospitals across the U.S. “are now becoming killing fields.”

“When you go to a hospital, even if you don’t have COVID-19, you’d be construed that way,” says Renz during his program “Lawfare with Tom Renz” on Brighteon.TV. “They get hundreds of thousands of dollars for putting you on remdesivir, putting you on ventilator and letting you die. And if you don’t follow, they’ll just intimidate you and coerce you.”

France's former health minister is being formally investigated over the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Prosecutors looking into government failings are investigating Agnès Buzyn for "endangering the lives of others".
Ms Buzyn left the post in February 2020 to run for Paris mayor, saying Covid was low risk. But she later spoke of knowing a "tsunami" was approaching.
It is one of the world's first cases of a minister facing legal accountability for their pandemic response.
A special court set up in France in 1993 to investigate government ministers accused of misconduct will decide whether to prosecute her.

About 3,000 health workers in France have been suspended because they have not been vaccinated against Covid-19.
A new rule, which came into force on Wednesday, made vaccination mandatory for the country's 2.7 million health, care home and fire service staff.
But French Health Minister Olivier Véran said on Thursday that "most of the suspensions are only temporary".
Many are now agreeing to get jabbed because "they see that the vaccination mandate is a reality", he said.

(CNN)A head-to-head study of all three authorized coronavirus vaccines in the United States finds the Moderna vaccine is slightly more effective than Pfizer's in real-life use in keeping people out of the hospital, and Johnson & Johnson's Janssen vaccine comes in third, but still provides 71% protection.

Pfizer's vaccine provided 88% protection against hospitalization, and Moderna's was 93% effective.

(CNN)Covered from head to toe in a white hazmat suit, a small child carrying a backpack half the size of his body toddles down a hospital corridor and arrives at a CT scan room -- all by himself.

"A 4-year-old boy has been infected (with Covid-19), unfortunately," a caption in the video reads. "No accompanying parents. Going to quarantine alone."
