Waffles
2 C sifted cake flour
1 TBSP Baking Powder
1 tsp salt
2 TBSP sugar (sift dry ingredients)
3 eggs separated room temperature
1 1/2 C milk mixed with beaten egg yolks and
1/2 C oil( I use butter) add to dry ingredients
Gently combine these ingredients
Beat egg whites(stiff) fold into batter
make your waffles
eat and enjoy

Original 7 Up pie crust recipe
My Grandmothers centuries old recipe

2 cups flour
pinch salt
cut in
3/4 C lard
put in Tupperware bowl with
7 TBSP 7 Up and shake

Perfect pie crust everytime

My Mothers Sour Cream Apple Pie

2 TBSP flour 3/4 C sugar
1/8 tsp salt 1 egg unbeaten
2 C sour cream 1 tsp Vanilla
4 tsp. Nutmeg
2 C apples combine
9 inch unbaked pie shell

Bake at 400 15 minutes and 350 for 30 minutes
crumble top: 1/3 c sugar, 1/2 C flour 1 tsp cinnamon
cut in 1/4 c butter and crumble over top of pie and bake another 10 minutes at 400

enjoy with freshly whipped cream

My mother cream pie heartflowers

3/4 C sugar
1 1/2 cups boiling water
2 TBSP cornstarch
2 egg yolks separated at room temperature
1 lemon or bananas

mix sugar and cornstarch
pour in boiling water cook for 10 minutes and stir while cooking
stir in egg yolk and lemon juice
Pour into 9 inch baked pie shell
Beat egg whites stiff
Cover pie make it lovely
place in 400 oven til tips are slightly golden
let is set
enjoy

Butternut squash creamed soup.. baking the squash with a few green onions one carrot one apple and some ginger root and one clove raw garlic in butter salt pepper a dash of chili powder and a few dashes nutmeg. once the squash is baked and cooled enough scoop it out of the skin so it does not get bitter tasting. I have made a bit of celery stock to use in it: cut up a few celery hearts, sauté in butter til translucent. ad pure water and simmer good til it is flavorful. it should be about 2 qts or so of stock. place baked things in celery stock and simmer some careful not to burn it. when it is nice and aromatic, remove from heat and cool overnight.

next day, shake a few spoons of flour into some half and half, about 1 or 2 cups, depending on how thick the soup is becoming by now. Puree the cooled pan of yummy things. Place back in clean pan and put in double boiler and stir the cream in. warm til thickened some. It really will not take much flour. better use one spoonful only. stir and warm till done and aromatic. enjoy. I will come back with how good this is going to be. heartflowers

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
Line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper.
Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda together in a large bowl.
Cut butter into flour mixture with a pastry blender until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs, about 5 minutes.
Make a well in the center of butter and flour mixture. Pour in 3/4 cup buttermilk; stir until just combined.
Turn dough onto a floured work surface, pat together into a rectangle.
Fold the rectangle in thirds. Turn dough a half turn, gather any crumbs, and flatten back into a rectangle. Repeat twice more, folding and pressing dough a total of three times.
Roll dough on a floured surface to about 1/2 inch thick.
Cut out 12 biscuits using a 2 1/2-inch round biscuit cutter.
Transfer biscuits to the prepared baking sheet. Press an indent into the top of each biscuit with your thumb.
Brush the tops of biscuits with 2 tablespoons buttermilk.
Bake in the preheated oven until browned, about 15 minutes.
