RE: Monkeypox hits Europe
Monkeypox is a disease that we have been monitoring for quite a while now. It is not supposed to spread easily from human to human, and hopefully that is still true. But human cases are now popping up in the UK, and authorities are not exactly sure how it is spreading. As we have seen with COVID, deadly diseases can mutate in dangerous and unpredictable ways. And as we have also seen, a handful of human cases can ultimately turn into a worldwide pandemic. So we should definitely keep an eye on this alarming new outbreak in the UK, because it could potentially become something much larger.

On Saturday, health authorities in the UK announced that two more human cases of monkeypox

RE: Monkeypox hits Europe
The FDA and other agencies are investigating a hepatitis A outbreak in the US and Canada potentially linked to organic fresh strawberries.

The agency says the strawberries were sold under the FreshKampo and HEB brands and purchased between March 5 and April 25.

The FDA is investigating 17 cases — 15 in California and one apiece in Minnesota and North Dakota. Canada's public health agency has identified 10 cases across two provinces: Alberta and Saskatchewan.

HEB and FreshKampo strawberries were sold at a number of retailers, including Trader Joe's, Kroger, Safeway, Aldi, Walmart and HEB, according to the FDA.

"If you are unsure of what brand you purchased, when you purchased your strawberries, or where you purchased them from prior to freezing them, the strawberries should be thrown away," the FDA said.

A Yale University professor claimed that telling homosexuals to avoid deviant sexual behavior in order to stop the spread of monkeypox “won’t work.”

Even though everyone was ordered to stop living their lives and wear a face veil for two years as a “cure” for the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19), suddenly it is no longer politically correct to boss people around now that the LGBT community is at the center of the latest outbreak.

Gregg Gonsalves wrote on > No more twitter links are invited on these servers that the answer to monkeypox “isn’t (to) shut down all these parties, tell gay men to stop having sex at them or dancing in close proximity to each other.”

RE: Monkeypox hits Europe
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has detected 18 additional cases of monkeypox in England, and one additional case in Scotland.

This brings the total number confirmed in the UK to 321 as of 7 June.

There are currently 305 confirmed cases in England, 11 in Scotland, 2 in Northern Ireland and 3 in Wales.

Anyone can get monkeypox, particularly if you have had close contact, including sexual contact, with an individual with symptoms. People who are gay or bisexual and men who have sex with men remain disproportionately affected.
