“The FY 2024 budget request for NASA is $27.2 billion (7.1% increase over FY 2023 enacted),” the release said. “Specifically, this budget requests $8.125 billion to return American astronauts to the Moon, including the first woman and first person of color, to establish a sustainable lunar presence and lay the groundwork for humanity’s first crewed mission to Mars.” 

NASA seeks through the requested funding to also support continued human presence in low-Earth orbit with operations of the International Space Station through 2030, the release said.

The United States and the United Kingdom have special operations forces that are able to perform acts of sabotage like the ones against the Nord Stream pipelines, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolay Patrushev confirmed on Monday.

“It is no secret that in order to carry out actions like these, special purpose units are required that are trained and equipped accordingly…The US and UK definitely have them [special operations units]. Other NATO countries also use combat swimmers to perform sabotage missions, but only with the approval and support of the country that dictates the main agenda in the North Atlantic Alliance,” Patrushev told a Russian newspaper.

President Joe Biden addressed the nation Monday to assure Americans that the banking system is safe after the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank. In his speech, he highlighted the immediate action that his administration has taken.

Customers’ deposits will be protected: Customers will “have access to their money as of today. That includes small businesses across the country that bank there and need to make payroll, pay their bills and stay open for business,” Biden said, adding that no losses will be suffered by the taxpayers.

“Instead, the money will come from the fees that banks pay into the deposit insurance fund,” he explained.
