According to the group’s spokesman, the attack came in response to Anglo-American assaults on Yemen

Yemen’s Houthis on Friday launched a missile attack on the US aircraft carrier Dwight D. Eisenhower in the Red Sea, according to a statement made on X (former Twitter) by the group’s spokesman Yahya Saree.

Saree claimed the attack came in response to US and UK strikes on the Yemeni provinces of Sanaa, Hodeidah and Taiz. The strikes allegedly targeted civilian infrastructure and resulted in the deaths of 16 people and over 40 wounded.

Supplying the warplanes to Kiev is a signal that NATO is “ready for anything”, the Russian foreign minister has said.

In an interview with Rossiya Segodna published on Thursday, Lavrov said that NATO was trying to signal it is “literally ready for anything” in Ukraine.

“We cannot help but consider the supply of these systems to the Kiev regime as a deliberate signaling action by NATO in the nuclear sphere,” he explained.

Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway have all pledged to supply Ukraine with US-made F-16 fighters, although none have so far been delivered. However, earlier in May, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen announced that the first planes would arrive in Ukraine “in the coming month.”

An FSB intelligence chief has accused NATO countries of preparing to conduct nuclear strikes on Russian territory as tensions between the Kremlin and the alliance continue to grow.

General Vladimir Kulishov, who heads the border service of Russia’s main intelligence agency, told state news agency RIA Novosti that Moscow was concerned about an increase in NATO activities near the Russian border.

The AFP news agency, meanwhile, quoted unnamed sources as saying that the Kiev regime had used Western weapons “on several occasions” to launch strikes against Russian territory, most recently against the southern city of Krasnodar.

The sources did not specify what objects had been targeted. The Russian Defense Ministry had earlier said that the Ukrainian armed forces were constantly trying to attack the territory of Russia’s Krasnodar region using aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.

A top European Union lawmaker has made a gruesome discovery after finding her murdered husband’s dead body in his car.

Italian MEP Francesca Donato found her husband Angelo Onorato dead in his vehicle with a zip tie tightly wrapped around his neck, indicating he was murdered.

Additionally, Donato was also with her daughter when they found Onorato’s body in his car.

Both women insist that Onorato was murdered, according to Euronews.

The body of the 54-year-old architect was found in Palermo, the capital of the Italian island of Sicily, according to Agenzia Nova.

She has been one of the few European politicians to take a stand against Big Pharma, the vaccines and the war in Ukraine.

The US-led bloc poses a military threat, the head of the border guard service has warned.

The NATO nations are preparing for possible nuclear strikes on Russia, one of Moscow’s senior generals has warned.

Vladimir Kulishov, the first deputy director of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB), and head of the country’s Border Guard Service, outlined threats that his branch has to deal with in an interview with RIA Novosti.

”NATO intelligence operations close to the Russian border are on the rise. Forces of the alliance are intensifying military training, in which they work out scenarios of military action against the Russian Federation, including nuclear strikes on our territory,” he was quoted as saying on Tuesday.

“Near the Russian border, NATO’s reconnaissance activities are increasing, the intensity of operational combat training of the alliance’s troops is growing, during which scenarios for conducting combat operations against the Russian Federation, including the launch of nuclear strikes on our territory, are being worked out,” he said.

The Ukrainian conflict could spiral into a global war that would be a “greater tragedy than World War II,” Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic warns

There is little time left to conclude the Ukraine conflict, which risks escalating out of control and inciting a global war, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has warned.

Speaking on Friday to the broadcaster Prva Srpska Televizija, Vucic claimed the world is standing on the brink of an all-out global conflict, and it is likely already too late to avoid it. 

“I am afraid that there is little time left for the war in Ukraine to be stopped. I hope it’s still possible, but I’m afraid it’s actually not. I’m afraid that the train has already left the station, started moving, and no one will stop it,” he said.

The ex-president’s warning comes after Poland said Washington would hit Russian targets if Moscow were to use nukes in Ukraine.

Any US attack on Russian targets in Ukraine would automatically trigger a world war, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has warned.

The official, who currently serves as Deputy Chair of Russia’s Security Council, made the remarks after Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski claimed Washington had threatened to conduct such a strike should Russia use nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, Medvedev suggested that Sikorski “apparently, has decided to scare his masters.” He noted that Washington, unlike Warsaw, has so far refrained from making any such threats publicly “because they are more cautious” than the Poles.

“Americans hitting our targets means starting a world war, and a Foreign Minister, even of a country like Poland, should understand that,” Medvedev added.
