Netanyahu said that Iranโs attack was foiled due to its air defence systems and also thanked the U.S. for its support.
In a veiled warning to Khamenei, Netanyahu said that the regime in Tehran does not understand Israelโs determination to defend ourselves and to exact a price from our enemies. Netanyahu cited Sinwar, Deif and Nasrallah to claim that they underestimate Israelโs will to defend itself and now some in Tehran are doing the same.
Iran has launched a large-scale ballistic attack on Israel, with the elite Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) claiming it has fired โdozensโ of missiles at military targets across the country.
The IRGC has said the attack comes in response to the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of the Palestinian group Hamas, who was killed in Tehran back in July, as well as to the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Lebanon last week. Iran warned Israel against retaliation, promising a โcrushing responseโ should any action be taken.
