In an unscheduled TV address, the Russian leader said the Oreshnik missile could not be intercepted and promised to carry out more tests, including in “combat conditions”. 

Russia’s use of the Oreshnik capped a week of escalation in the war that also saw Ukraine fire US and British missiles into Russia for the first time.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called for world leaders to give a “serious response” so that Putin “feels the real consequences of his actions”.

His country was asking Western partners for updated air defence systems, he added.

According to news agency Interfax-Ukraine, Kyiv is seeking to obtain the US Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD), or to upgrade its Patriot anti-ballistic missile defence systems.

Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Andrey Rudenko called on South Korean to soberly assess the situation and refrain from “reckless steps”

South Korea’s arms supplies to Ukraine will completely destroy relations between Seoul and Moscow, Russia will respond to them in every necessary way, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Andrey Rudenko told TASS.

“Seoul must realize that the possible use of South Korean weapons to kill Russian citizens will fully destroy relations between our countries. Of course, we will respond in every way that we find necessary. It is unlikely that this will strengthen the security of the Republic of Korea itself,” Rudenko noted.

BRITAIN and Nato are set to hold emergency crunch talks about the conflict with Russia – after despot Vladimir Putin vowed to fire more hypersonic missiles into Ukraine.

It comes after his forces fired an “Oreshnik” ballistic rocket at the Ukrainian city of Dnipro on Thursday – with chilling footage capturing warheads raining down from the sky.

Kyiv has said Russia may have 10 of the terrifying weapons in its arsenal.

And tyrant Putin gloated about his “newest” toy after the attack – vowing to mass produce dozens more.

Now military alliance Nato and Ukraine are due to hold emergency talks next Tuesday, Sky reports.

Alexander Lukashenko also emphasized that a real information war has been underway for a long time

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko believes the world is on the edge of a Third World War.

“We have been discussing a lot recently the possibility of a Third World War breaking out, and how we are on the brink of this catastrophic event.

The declaration, made by Russia’s ambassador during an interview with Sky News, follows the UK’s approval of Storm Shadow missiles being used to strike targets within Russian territory.

“Absolutely, Britain and UK is now directly involved in this war.”

Speaking to Sky News’ Mark Austin, Russian ambassador to the UK Andrei Kelin also accused Ukraine of using mercenaries from different countries in the fighting.

It comes after Western allies green-lit Ukraine’s use of long-distance missiles to strike deep into Russia this week following months of requests from Kyiv.
