The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has just revoked the federal government’s emergency authorization for Covid “vaccines” as deaths and deadly disease continue to surge among those who received the mRNA injections.

The move was ordered by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), now led by Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

HHS’s decision means that the Biden-era COVID-19 “emergency” has officially come to an end.

“The emergency use authorizations for Covid vaccines, once used to justify broad mandates on the general public during the Biden administration, are now rescinded.”

The decision strips emergency clearance from roughly 240 million Americans, though Kennedy clarified:

“These vaccines are available for all patients who choose them after consulting with their doctors.”

The UK Health Security Agency said the varicella vaccination will be available for babies aged between 12 and 18 months old, and is expected to protect around 500,000 every year.

A vaccine against chickenpox will be rolled out on the NHS in England for the first time next year.

The varicella vaccination is currently only available through private treatment and costs around £150.

But under new plans, the jab will be included in a new NHS childhood immunisation programme – joining the current range against measles, mumps, and rubella.

In a statement, the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) said GPs will be able to offer the MMRV (measles, mumps, rubella and varicella) vaccination from January 2026.

It will be available for babies aged between 12 and 18 months old, and is expected to protect around 500,000 every year.

Russian President Vladimir Putin does not rule out the possibility of a meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

“Putin does not rule out the possibility of holding such a meeting, but he believes that any top-level meeting must be well-prepared so that it can finalize the groundwork that should first be carried out at the expert level.

At the moment, it cannot be said that the expert work, so to speak, is in full swing. Unfortunately, it is not,” he said. 

Peskov noted that Russia maintains its interest and readiness for such negotiations.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Thursday announced the recall of eggs connected to a salmonella outbreak.

The recall is linked to at least 92 instances of illnesses but zero reported deaths. 

Country Eggs, LLC of Lucerne Valley, California, is recalling its large brown cage-free Sunshine Yolks that were sold in 12 counties by the following brands: Nagatoshi Produce, Mizuho and Nijiya Markets.

ONS figures show total fertility rate fell to 1.41 in England and Wales in 2024, while Scottish rate was 1.25

The fertility rate for England and Wales has fallen for the third year in a row to reach a record low, figures show.

The total fertility rate across both countries, meaning the average number of live children women can expect to have across their child-bearing life, stood at 1.41 in 2024, down from 1.42 in 2023, the lowest since comparable data was first collected in 1938, according to the Office for National Statistics(ONS).

This is despite a 0.6% increase in live births last year, with a 14% increase in the number of babies born to fathers over 60, according to figures publishedlast month.

The disparity is down to the fact the adult population rose in 2024, which outweighed the increase in births. Since 1938, an increase in births at the same time as a decrease in the fertility rate has been observed only six times, with four occurring since 2011.

The body and its surroundings make up one of the little red dots seen by the Webb telescope

The oldest confirmed black hole formed when the universe was a mere infant, within 500 million years of the Big Bang, researchers report.

The James Webb Space Telescope, or JWST, saw the enormous celestial body as it shaped its host galaxy more than 13 billion years ago.

The findings, published in the Aug. 10 Astrophysical Journal Letters, could help astronomers better understand the early universe, particularly the curious coloration of objects called little red dots.

Washington’s move to double tariffs on many Indian goods poses a huge risk to India’s biggest export market.

The United States has doubled tariffs on many imports from India to 50 percent, as US President Donald Trump followed through on his threat to punish New Delhi for buying discounted Russian oil.

The steep tariffs, which came into force on Wednesday, risk inflicting significant damage on the Indian economy by threatening trade with its largest export market. India exported more than $87bn worth of goods to the US in 2024.

The Indian government, which has criticised the move as “unfair, unjustified and unreasonable”, estimates the tariffs will impact more than $48bn worth of exports. Indian officials warn that the new duties could make exports to the US commercially unviable, leading to job losses and slowing growth in the world’s fifth-largest economy, The Associated Press news agency reported.
