NATO drills are now routine. Siemons, Rotterdamโs port chief, confirmed the shift: โNot every terminal is fit for handling military cargo.โ The EU is prepping an โฌ800 billion rearmament plan, and the Dutch defense ministry wants 5 percent of GDP going to war-readiness.
Ammunition, copper, lithium, even medical supplies may soon be stockpiled near the quays. Resilience isnโt optional anymore. Itโs the new shipping priority.
