Eurasiaβs highest volcano has erupted after the earthquake in the Kamchatka region of Russiaβs far east, according to Russian state news agency RIA Novosti.
At 4,750 meters (15,580 feet), Klyuchevskaya Sopka is one of the worldβs highest active volcanos.
In September 2022, eight people died on a climbing expedition on the volcano, according to local authorities.
Conditions on the volcano are often treacherous and unpredictable, with strong winds, bitterly cold temperatures and snow at high altitudes.
