Twitter may discard its iconic logo as soon as Monday in favor of one reflecting the new X Corp brand, the platform’s CEO Elon Musk announced on Sunday.
“And soon we shall bid adieu to the twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds,” Musk tweeted on Sunday, clarifying that: “If a good enough X logo is posted tonight, we’ll make go live [sic] worldwide tomorrow.”
He confirmed the plan in a Twitter Spaces audio chat, arguing the logo change “should have been done a long time ago.”
It’s not clear if Musk has a blueprint in mind for the X Corp logo or if he genuinely expects ordinary Twitter users to donate their labor to create one. Thousands of users had offered up potential logos as of Sunday afternoon, many incorporating the Twitter bird in some way, though others questioned the wisdom of the move given that Twitter’s own website acknowledges that its logo is “our most recognizable asset.”

The Russian armed forces launched cruise missile strikes on military and fuel facilities near Odessa, in addition to hammering Ukraine’s Kanatovo airbase, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.
“Last night, the Russian military launched a group strike using high-precision sea and air based weapons on military industry facilities, fuel infrastructure and ammunition depots of the Ukrainian armed forces near the city of Odessa, as well as on the Kanatovo airbase of the Ukrainian air forces in the Kirovograd Region,” the ministry said.
All designated facilities have been hit, the target of the strikes has been achieved, the statement said.

The United Kingdom plans to commission new Dreadnought Class submarines in the early 2030s to replace obsolete Vanguard Class submarines, the Defense Ministry said on Tuesday, adding that the country will also replace its nuclear warheads to maintain an “effective deterrent.”
“We have therefore committed to a one-in-two-generations programme of modernisation of our nuclear forces, underpinned by long-term investment. In 2016, Parliament voted to renew our nuclear deterrent and replace the Vanguard Class submarines with four new Dreadnought Class submarines.

Explosions at a reported Russian ammunition dump in occupied Crimea have forced thousands of people to evacuate and prompted leaders there to redirect traffic away from a local highway.
Videos on social media show cascading explosions at the site near Stary Krym in Crimea’s Kirorvsky district.
The Russia-backed leader of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, said on Telegram that “a fire occurred at a military training ground.”
The original cause of the fire is not known. The well-known Grey Zone Telegram channel suggested that a Ukrainian Storm Shadow missile was responsible for the strike, but there is no official corrobration of that claim. An insurgent Ukrainian group in Crimea, Atesh, celebrated the fire but said that it was not responsible.

We therefore examined rates of SAEs between different BNT162b2 vaccine batches administered in Denmark Data on all SAE cases, Danish Medical Agency (DKMA) SAE seriousness was classified as non-serious, serious..
