Belgium: The consultation between the management and the trade unions at Delhaize ended quickly on Tuesday morning. The management has maintained its position and is sticking to the plan to privatize the 128 supermarkets under its own management. The union representatives denounced this when leaving the Delhaize buildings in Zellik (Asse). The unions demand that the ‘franchisation’ does not take place and that all stores remain under their own management. β€œWe will return to the shops and continue to campaign,” it sounds.
