President Donald Trump asserted that many “bad things” would have befallen Russia if it were not for him, warning that Russian President Vladimir Putin is “playing with fire!”

“What Vladimir Putin doesn’t realize is that if it weren’t for me, lots of really bad things would have already happened to Russia, and I mean REALLY BAD.

He’s playing with fire!” Trump declared in the Truth Social post. FOX News reports, the tweet was responded to by Dmitry Medvedev, the deputy chairman of the Security Council of Russia and former Russian president, in another social media post on Tuesday.

“Regarding Trump’s words about Putin β€˜playing with fire’ and β€˜really bad things’ happening to Russia. I only know of one REALLY BAD thing β€” WWIII. I hope Trump understands this!” Medvedev wrote.
