Retired Lt. Col. Pete Chambers, a former Green Beret and whistleblower on COVID-19 vaccine issues, announced his candidacy for Texas governor at the Thrive 25 summit on June 28, 2025.
During his announcement Chambers pledged that he would use his power to issue arrest warrants for Dr. Anthony Fauci and others for crimes against humanity during the Covid-19 pandemic and the mRNA vaccine rollout.
In Texas, a crime of this nature would fall under Texas Penal Code ยง19.02, ยง19.03 Murder or Capital Murder, and Intentional killings, and as Chambers stated, a felony arrest warrant issued in Texas would have power of enforcement at the federal level, anywhere in the United States.
Chambers, 60, launched his grassroots campaign at the conservative event, emphasizing faith and love for Texans. โThis is gonna be straight up grassroots,โ he said. โI have $1 in the bank account for that campaign.โ
Chambers joined the Army in 1983 as an infantryman and paratrooper, serving 39 years with breaks for education and civilian practice, according to his campaign website. He earned a medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1995 and practiced family and emergency medicine until 2001.
