Daesh Claims Responsibility For Iraq Oil Refinery Rocket Attack

The Siniya refinery was reopened in 2017 after damages caused by Daesh* terrorists had been repaired. It has a capacity of 20,000 barrels per day.

Daesh* has claimed responsibility for the attack on an oil refinery in Iraq, a statement released by the group says. 

Two Katyusha rockets were used in the attack, the statement added.  

Earlier in the day, Sky News Arabiya reported that aΒ rocket hit an oil refinery in northern Iraq, causing a fire.
