Masoud Pezeshkian and Russian President Vladimir Putin are expected to discuss issues including the Israel-Palestine conflict and Tehranโ€™s nuclear program

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has arrived in Moscow for talks with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, scheduled to be held later on Friday.

According to a statement on Thursday from the Kremlin, the two leaders are expected to discuss recent developments in the Middle East, such as the Israel-Palestine conflict and the ouster of Syrian President Bashar Assad. The talks will also cover Iranโ€™s nuclear program.

Putin and Pezeshkian are also expected to sign the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement, which the Kremlin described as a framework for the long-term development of bilateral relations between Russia and Iran. The document will replace a previous agreement between the two states signed in 2001.
