The US-led bloc poses a military threat, the head of the border guard service has warned.
The NATO nations are preparing for possible nuclear strikes on Russia, one of Moscowβs senior generals has warned.
Vladimir Kulishov, the first deputy director of Russiaβs Federal Security Service (FSB), and head of the countryβs Border Guard Service, outlined threats that his branch has to deal with in an interview with RIA Novosti.
βNATO intelligence operations close to the Russian border are on the rise. Forces of the alliance are intensifying military training, in which they work out scenarios of military action against the Russian Federation, including nuclear strikes on our territory,βΒ he was quoted as saying on Tuesday.
“Near the Russian border, NATO’s reconnaissance activities are increasing, the intensity of operational combat training of the alliance’s troops is growing, during which scenarios for conducting combat operations against the Russian Federation, including the launch of nuclear strikes on our territory, are being worked out,” he said.
