Beijing warned on Tuesday it would take countermeasures, after Washington imposed sanctions on 14 Chinese officials over “an assault against Hong Kong’s democratic processes.”

China will take “firm counter-measures against the malicious actions by the US to safeguard our sovereignty, security, and developmental rights,” Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying told reporters on Tuesday. She also urged Washington to withdraw its decision.

Washington’s willingness to punish WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange won’t change with Joe Biden in office – and the UK government will do anything to help the US achieve this goal, Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters has told RT.

A decision by a British court on Assange’s extradition to the US, where he is wanted on espionage charges over his leaks of classified documents, is to be announced on January 4, 2021.

Patrick Basham, founder of research organization the Democracy Institute, broke down the “implausibility” of Joe Biden’s presumed presidential victory for Fox News, as Donald Trump continues to insist there’s “no way” he lost.

Joe Biden’s apparent victory over the incumbent Trump is “statistically implausible,” Basham told Mark Levin on Sunday night during ‘Life, Liberty & Levin’, describing a lot of processes that went against all expectations during the elections.

He says that the Democrat defied the “non-polling metrics,” which Basham claims have “a 100 percent accuracy rate,” including “how the candidates did in their respective presidential primaries, the number of individual donations, [and] how much enthusiasm each candidate generated in the opinion polls.”

CNN)Rudy Giuliani, President Donald Trump’s personal attorney and the face of his longshot legal challenges to overturn the presidential election results, has been hospitalized after testing positive for Covid-19.The 76-year-old former New York mayor was admitted to Georgetown University Hospital on Sunday, a source familiar with the matter confirmed to CNN. Giuliani appeared to confirm his positive diagnosis, hours after it was announced on Twitter by Trump, by tweeting that he’s “getting great care and feeling good.”

Hong Kong (CNN)Beijing has spent years turning islands and reefs in the South China Seainto military bases and airstrips — but such territory could be vulnerable to attack and nigh indefensible in the event of war, a new report has warned. The bases are “lonely in the distant sea,” and far from both the Chinese mainland and other islands in the vast disputed waters, which span some 3.3 million square kilometers (1.3 million square miles), said Naval and Merchant Ships, a Beijing-based magazine published by the China State Shipbuilding Corporation, which supplies the People’s Liberation Army.

According to the Algemeen Dagblad newspaper, no footprints were visible around the structure and nobody knows how it appeared there. 

A monolith has appeared in the Netherlands recently as a companion to the mysterious metal objects which have already been discovered in Romania and the United States.

The structure was spotted in the Kiekenberg nature reserve near Oudehorne, a village in the province of Friesland, on Sunday, the Algemeen Dagblad newspaper said. It added that nobody saw how the pillar had been placed there and no footprints could be seen around it. The report noted, however, that this structure was not shiny like the pillars which had been discovered in other countries.
