Facebook* content moderators in Kenya, who were laid off due to a purported illegal reduction of the workforce, are suing American multinational technology conglomerate, Meta, the parent company of the website they worked for, and two outsourcing companies, the media reported, citing Foxglove rights group supporting the case.
The 43 content moderators reportedly said they had been fired from Sama, an outsourcing firm operating in Kenya, for organizing a union.
The US will dramatically accelerate the time it takes to ship Abrams tanks to Ukraine by sending older M1-A1 models of Americaβs main battle tank instead of the more modern version of the tank, according to two US officials.
The switch will allow the tanks to arrive as early as the fall of this year, one of the officials said, shaving months off the previous timeline that could have taken a year or longer.

The drills are scheduled to last through Thursday, CNA added.

US strategic bombers took part in joint air drills with South Korean forces on Sunday, the same day as North Korea carried out a suspected ballistic missile test, according to the South Korean military.
The exercise featured US B-1B strategic bombers, F-35A stealth fighters from the South Korean Air Force and F-16 fighters of the US Air Force, and was part of the Freedom Shield joint exercise, the military said in a press release.
News of the exercise came on the same day as North Korea launched a suspected ballistic missile into the sea between the Korean Peninsula and Japan, shortly after 11 a.m. local time, according to Japanβs Ministry of Defense and the South Korean army.
North Korea claims that about 800,000 young people have volunteered for military service to fight against the United States and other enemies, the countryβs state newspaper Rodong Sinmum has reported.
