Police responded Thursday to a shooting at Perry High School in Perry, Iowa, according to a post on the Dallas County Facebook page.

β€œMultiple law enforcement and medical staff are on site for a shooting at Perry High School,” the post said. β€œThe site has been secured and the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office will release more information as it becomes available.”

There was no immediate confirmation on possible injuries.

Authorities are expected to hold a news conference at 10 a.m. CT (11 a.m. ET).

Iowa State Patrol Sgt. Alex Dinkla told CNN that the agency is responding to the incident, but did not have further information.

Police vehicles from multiple cities are on the scene in front of the high school.

King Charles has reportedly decided to abdicate to his eldest son Prince William following in Queen Margrethe of Denmark’s footsteps who’s set to step down as monarch on January 14. “The 75-year-old monarch has summoned a meeting with the Prince and Princess of Wales to discuss the future of the monarchy,” an insider has claimed.

“The King, who’s a caretaker of the throne for his eldest son, will ask William and Kate to prepare for their future roles,” they added. However, the source added: “Prince William wants his father to continue until his eldest son Prince George, second to line of throne, comes to a certain age.”

It comes after Danish Queen Margrethe, 83, revealed that her son, Crown Prince Frederik, will succeed her and become the new King of Denmark. There are speculations that the monarch, who was officially crowned alongside his wife Queen Camilla in May 2023, wants to use the future king and Queen’s “star quality” to help secure the future of the royal family.

Hundreds of pages of unsealed documents from a lawsuit connected to accused sex-trafficker Jeffrey Epstein were publicly released on Wednesday. This is the first set of documents to be unsealed under a December 18 court order, with more expected in the coming weeks.

The documents in total, including material yet to be unsealed, are expected to include nearly 200 names, including some of Epstein’s accusers, prominent businesspeople, politicians and potentially more.

The first batch of documents didn’t appear to contain any bombshell revelations. Much of the information in them has already been released through media reports and other court proceedings. But this is the first time these documents, filed with a court, have been released through the legal system.

Attorneys for Ghislaine Maxwell said in a statement on Wednesday: β€œShe has consistently and vehemently maintained her innocence.”

South Korea and the United States have conducted joint military drills with live firing near the former’s border with North Korea to increase their joint combat readiness amid threats allegedly posed by Pyongyang, local news agency reported on Thursday, citing the South Korean military. 

The exercise was launched in the city of Pocheon on December 29 and is scheduled to end on Friday, January 5, media reported, adding that the drills had involved a total of 110 weapons systems from the two countries, including K1A2 tanks, A-19 combat aircraft, Stryker armored personnel carriers and artillery systems.
